AMERICAN
STAND UP - MIXED MARTIAL ARTS...
American Stand Up is built upon two foundations: #1 fighters as
the priority and
#2 produce the best quality the mixed
martial arts world has ever seen.
The leadership team at American Stand Up are all active duty members of the
United States Military.
We run American Stand Up profit free, giving all profits back to the fighters to
support training, travel and fights. This fact, along with our slow and persistent approach to advertisement, separates us from the 20 other
brands that pop up at every event but go under as there is no way to support the rock star image they portray. We are not completely selfless as we get incredible joy out of taking care of and building relationships with fighters. The fighters truly are the focus of American Stand Up, and we believe that this will lead to long term success in the industry. We currently sponsor over 80 fighters in 4 countries.
We are absolutely obsessed with quality. Every ounce of our effort is spent towards developing the best product on the market.
At American Stand Up we have spent $0 on marketing our
product to corporations. Our entire marketing plan is to equip fighters with the best pair of gloves, headgear,
Thai pads, etc that
they have ever seen, and in return they'll tell 100 other fighters about us.
WHO
WE ARE..
We are the amateur fighters who travel 300 miles, on are own dime, just for the opportunity to fight.
We are the professional fighters who sell shirts out of the back of a truck to pay for training.
We are the fighters who live in the gym, are always in shape, and show up ready
to fight with less than 2 days notice. We are 100% fighters
and are about taking care fighters.
WHO
WE ARE NOT...
We are not thugs, pimps or commercial. We are not the trendy new MMA rack at
Footlocker, and soon Wal-Mart.
We are not the $30,000 logo in the center of the UFC octagon. We are not a tiny logo on the left pocket of an undershirt for a headline
fighter. We are not company owners who think we deserve more spotlight than our fighters.

Kyle France's "MMA Minded" goes for 5 victories
at Absolute Fighting Alliance: 2 - "Onslaught". Long-time
American Stand Up fighter, Rocky "StoneFist" France headlined the
event with his title fight against Norman Alexander. Delivering another
excellent show for the fans, this fight went to the end of the 3rd round with
total domination by Rocky. After getting hit by Rocky early in the first round,
Norm quickly wanted the fight to the ground and that is where the majority of
the fight was spent. Norm never managed to get Rocky down but instead, after
every shot, Rocky stuffed him and ended up on top in Norms guard. Rocky split
norm over both eyes and toward the end of the 3rd round the ref stepped in to
have the Dr. take a look at the cuts. They quickly realized that Norm was not
coherent from all the blood lost and stopped the fight. With this win, Rocky is
now AFA's Professional lightweight champion!
In another showcase bout, Brooke "Death
by Chocolate" McKillip faced off against Kristina Lopez
(125lbs). This fight was a very dominate performance from Brooke. She
controlled much of the fight delivering punches from every position and angle.
Toward the end of the 2nd round, the ref had finally seen enough and stopped the
fight after a few elbows from Brooke. Brooke is MMA Minded's first and only
female fighter and holds an undefeated record.

Coach Tim Gillett and "Gillett MMA" continue to
establish themselves as the underground gem training center of the entire
Northeast region. At the World Championship Fighting, Tim's protégée
Josh LeBerge proved why Team Gillett's reputations is growing by the
event. Josh had the entire 3,000-person crowd on their feet as he put on a
flawless performance against New England's #5 rated featherweight, Dan Bonnell.
Josh came out in the opening round confident of his stand up, but in no rush to
engage until he saw an opening. As soon as the chance presented itself,
Josh quickly overwhelmed his highly respected opponent and won via TKO at 1:20
of Round 1. September 26, 2009

AmericanStandUp.com recently received the following feedback
on our new Jiu Jitus Gis from stand out team member Christopher Arant.
"How's it going, brother? I just got a chance to try out
the Gi I ordered from you a few weeks ago, and all I can say is "wow"!
Two straight hours of rolling in this thing and it held up as well or better
than the Luckys, Korals, and Atamas. And the collar on it is ridiculous! Nobody
was able to choke me with it because it's huge and stiff, just like it should
be. My instructor even asked me where I got it, because he'd never heard of
American Stand Up and was impressed by the quality. Another piece of top notch
gear in my collection. On another note, I have a seminar the 15th with the
legendary Relson Gracie (founder of our school), and 5 time world BJJ champion
Daniel Moraes (our lead instructor)." September 7, 2009

This past weekend, we received the following feedback from a
long time member of Team American Stand Up. Thanks for the encouragement
... this is the type of thing that keeps us motivated! August 22, 2009
"I wanted to take a moment to thank you and your
fellow Soldiers ( HERO'S ) for your sacrifice and service, we often take being
an American lightly and rarely get the opportunity to express our gratitude to
the dedicated Men and Woman of the greatest Country in World .That make it
possible. Honor, Integrity , and Loyalty are NOT just cool words. They are
decisions that you and your fellow Soldiers make everyday and Define Today's
American Soldier, I am a 43 yr. old man that has been involved in this sport at
a local level since VALE TUDO shorts where considered all good ( they are not )
grin. This thing has exploded, and in a market filled with folks that have no
Warriors Spirit, Its refreshing to see you folks committing yours to our sport.
I have a few pieces of your gear and I will Proudly ROCK Them SUMBITCH'S......
Your Little Mission Statement letter you sent me to thank me for my purchase
fueled this little note, But it is Honor Of your Brothers and Sisters in Arms,
that inspires it.
Thank You ......Just didnt Seem to Express it , Sincerly,
Rob."

Original American Stand Up team member Amir Khillah post another
impressive victory. Amir score a 17 second head kick knockout over Bradley
McRae at Jeremy Horn's "Elight Fight Night 9". Apparently
Bradley did not do his research, standing with Amir (even for 17 seconds) can be
very dangerous to one's health. Amir's impressive stand up was develop
through his own "Lighting Kicks Training Center" in Kalamazoo,
MI. In addition to his stand up, he has also polished his ground skills as
a resident fighter at Matt Hughes HIT Squad for the past year. June 25, 2009

American Stand-Up sponsored Team GETYASOME traveled to
Tarkio, Missouri, for the Northwest Fight Club's GOLD RUSH event. Dustin Hartwig improved his record to 2-1 when he defeated JaMarcus Brown of Leavenworth, KS via
tapout due to an arm bar at 2:30 of round one. Most of the action involved vicious knee strikes while standing in
the clinch, however when it went to the ground Hartwig's submission ability quickly ended the match. Nathan
Holde (Top Picture) improved to 4-1 with a win over Frank Trombino of Nebraska City, NE. Holden drove Trombino into
the cage and immediately secured a standing guillotine and then finished the choke on the ground via
tapout at 0:33 of round one. Jeremy Small (21-7) was featured in the main event of the evening versus Mike Jones
(15-5) of Columbia, MO, for the Northwest Fight Club's Middleweight Championship. After a few early leg kicks by Small the action pressed
against the cage wall when Small picked Jones up to should height and slammed him to the canvas. Small's submission skill proved too much for
Jones as Small wins via tapout due to an arm triangle at 1:00 of round one... and is now the Northwest Fight Club Middleweight
Champion (Bottom Picture). Team GETYASOME trains out of the Hands 2 War Gym located in Crete, NE. June 23, 2009

Not even a week after Team Tim Gillett fighter Josh LaBerge's last
victory he now faced an even bigger challenge in Strikezones’ Chris Simmons
(6-1). Josh LaBerge, a foundation fighter of the American Stand Up
sponsorship team, agreed to fight Simmons, who boasted an impressive reccord
with his only loss being to Ken Stone, on short notice and only six days after a
unanimous decision victory over Frank Latina at USFL’s “Springfield
Massacre.” Each man came out strong at the start of round one. Simmons scored
a take down and initiated the ground fight. The rest of round one, and the
majority of round two and three, was a grappling match. LaBerge was able to
control the fight on the ground, defend against Simmons’ submission attempts
and maintain top position for the majority of the fight. His wrestling and
ground and pound were too much for Simmons and won LaBerge the decision.
